Bolon's resilience in the face of challenges, including vision loss and foot injuries, only fueled his determination. At West Liberty University, he not only excelled athletically, earning All-American honors, but also published research. His remarkable achievements culminated in accolades such as NCAA Scholar Athlete of the Year and being named a finalist for the prestigious Lou Henson Award while at the College of Charleston.
